The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms and strong winds in western KwaZulu-Natal. According to forecaster Julius Mahlangu, this warning is in effect for Saturday afternoon and evening.
Mahlangu mentioned that the municipalities at risk include uThukela, Umgungundlovu, and some areas of Harry Gwala. Therefore, residents in these areas are urged to exercise caution.
He further noted that the thunderstorm, along with exceptionally powerful winds, could result in potential damage to local infrastructure.
