Argentinian coach Diego Simeone, the manager of Atlético Madrid, is gearing up to celebrate a historic achievement during the upcoming match against Dutch side Feyenoord.
Atlético Madrid will be visiting Feyenoord on Tuesday at the Dutch team's stadium as part of the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
According to Opta statistics network, Simeone will become the third coach to reach 100 matches with a single team in the UEFA Champions League during the Feyenoord encounter. He follows in the footsteps of Alex Ferguson with Manchester United (190 matches) and Arsène Wenger with Arsenal (177 matches).
It's worth mentioning that Simeone has secured 47 victories, 27 draws, and suffered 25 defeats in his previous 99 UEFA Champions League matches with Atlético Madrid.
Simeone has been in charge of Atlético Madrid since December 2011.
