Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti, received another blow today as his Brazilian player, Vinicius Junior, suffered an injury while on international duty with his national team.
This setback comes on the heels of the injury to the French player, Eduardo Camavinga, during his time with the national team, adding to Real Madrid's woes.
Vinicius sustained the injury during a match against Colombia in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which ended in a 1-2 defeat for Brazil.
Speaking after the game, Vinicius said, "I think it's the same injury as last time. I took a hit and felt pain later. Tomorrow we will undergo tests."
Vinicius did not rule out the possibility of participating in the upcoming match against Brazil and Argentina in five days but admitted that it would be "difficult."
It's worth noting that Vinicius had previously suffered a muscle strain during a match against Celta Vigo in August, causing him to be sidelined for over a month.
