Steelers Lose Inside Linebacker Elandon Roberts to Groin Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers' defense faces another setback at inside linebacker as Elandon Roberts exited the game against the Cardinals in the second quarter due to a groin issue.

Roberts left the field early in the second quarter and was escorted to the medical tent by trainers. Following an evaluation, he returned to the sideline but was deemed questionable to rejoin the game due to the groin injury.

In the event that Roberts is unable to return, the Steelers will rely on Mykal Walker and Mark Robinson as their remaining inside linebackers. Unlike previous weeks, the team did not promote anyone from the practice squad, and Blake Martinez was made inactive for the game.

At the beginning of the season, the Steelers boasted Roberts, Cole Holcomb, and Kwon Alexander as their primary trio at inside linebacker. However, with both Holcomb and Alexander sidelined for the season due to injuries, Pittsburgh is hopeful that Roberts will only miss minimal playing time.

Stay tuned for further updates on Roberts' injury as more information becomes available.
