Oppo Unveils the Ultra-Slim Watch S with Stunning 3000-Nit Display and 10-Day Battery Life

Oppo has officially unveiled its latest smartwatch — the Oppo Watch S — after teasing key specifications earlier. The new model takes design cues from the Watch X2 but refines the look by seamlessly integrating the digital crown and side button into the frame, eliminating any visible protrusions.

Measuring just 8.9mm thick and weighing only 35 grams, the Watch S is about 25% thinner and lighter than its predecessor, making it one of Oppo’s sleekest wearables to date.

The smartwatch features a 1.46-inch circular AMOLED display with a 464×464 resolution and an impressive peak brightness of 3000 nits, nearly matching the Apple Watch Ultra 3. However, that full brightness is reserved for outdoor workouts, while regular use is capped at 1500 nits to optimize battery life.

Speaking of endurance, the Watch S can last up to four days with the Always-On Display enabled and up to ten days in Power Saving Mode.

Crafted from a slim metal frame, the watch is 5ATM water-resistant, making it suitable for swimming. It packs a comprehensive suite of health sensors, including a heart rate monitor, SpO₂ sensor, ECG sensor, and skin temperature sensor to enhance sleep tracking and fitness monitoring. Users can track over 100 workout modes, while built-in GPS supports accurate route tracking for outdoor activities like running and cycling. Additionally, the NFC chip enables contactless payments.

Running on ColorOS Watch 7.1, the Oppo Watch S is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The smartwatch will first launch in China, with global availability details yet to be announced.
